Overview
Clean is an AI research agent for B2B prospecting. It finds companies and people that match your ideal customer profile, using your own connected LinkedIn account and licensed company data, checks each one against your criteria, and shows you the qualified leads. You choose which ones to keep with Add to CRM.
The Attio app keeps your Attio workspace in step with Clean's CRM. Once connected, every lead, company, list and custom column you keep in Clean appears in Attio automatically, with no exports, CSVs or re-typing, so your team can work the leads where they already work.
How it works
Clean syncs one way, from Clean into Attio. It does not import data from Attio.
What Clean writes to Attio
- People
- Name, email, job title, LinkedIn URL, phone and their company.
- Companies
- Name, domain and LinkedIn URL.
- Lists
- Each Clean list becomes an Attio people list, with its members as list entries.
- Custom columns
- Each Clean column becomes an attribute on People (text, number, checkbox, date or select), with each person's value.
When it syncs
When you connect
Clean backfills everything already in your Clean CRM.
As you work
Each Add to CRM, edit, list change or new column is pushed to Attio within moments.
About every 30 minutes
A background check catches anything else that changed, for example a refreshed phone number.
Whenever you want
Press Sync now in Clean to run a full pass.
Matching and safety
- People are matched by email and companies by domain, so existing Attio records are updated instead of duplicated.
- Clean never deletes people, companies or lists in Attio.
- Removing a lead from a Clean list removes only that list entry in Attio.
- An archived Clean column is archived in Attio, which you can undo.
- Clean paces its writes well under Attio's rate limits.
- Deals, notes, tasks and custom objects in Attio are outside the sync.
Configuration
- 1
Open Integrations in Clean
In Clean, open Settings > Integrations and find Attio in the CRM section. You need to be a member of the Clean workspace; viewers can see the page but cannot connect. One connection serves the whole workspace.
- 2
Connect and approve access in Attio
Click Connect, choose your Attio workspace and approve access. Clean asks for read-write access to records, object configuration, lists and list entries. It needs these to create the People attributes and lists that mirror your Clean CRM (see Permissions).
- 3
Let the first sync run
The first sync starts right away, and the settings page shows its progress (“Initial sync in progress: N people so far”). Large CRMs can take a few minutes.
- 4
Work your leads in Attio
From then on everything stays in sync on its own. Use Sync now to force a full pass.
Permissions
Attio shows these scopes when you approve the app. Clean asks for read-write access to each, and uses it only to keep Attio in step with your Clean CRM.
- Records
- Create and update People and Company records, matched by email and domain.
- Object configuration
- Create the People attributes that mirror your Clean columns, and archive one when you archive its column.
- Lists
- Create an Attio people list for each Clean list.
- List entries
- Add each list member as an entry, and remove an entry when the lead leaves the Clean list.
Disconnecting
To stop syncing, click Disconnect in Clean, or remove the app in Attio. Clean revokes its access, and everything already written stays in your Attio workspace.
