How Clean maps into Attio

Attio is built around records, lists, and attributes, and Clean's leads map onto each. The mapping is fixed, so nobody has to design fields or objects before the first sync.

• Each lead becomes a person record, linked to a company record for its employer
• Each saved Clean list becomes an Attio list of people with the same entries
• Each custom Clean column becomes an attribute on people, with values written per person
• Standard fields such as name, job title, email, and phone fill the matching Attio attributes
• Leads that are only a company sync as company records, without a list entry

What happens after you connect

Connecting starts a backfill of everything already saved in Clean. From then on, saving a lead in Clean pushes that person, their company, and their list entries. Edits in Clean are patched onto the record, and a regular reconcile catches values that changed without a direct edit.

Built so Attio stays yours

Attio remains the system your team works in. Clean matches people by email address and companies by domain, so an existing Attio record is updated instead of duplicated. It never deletes a person, company, or list in Attio, and archiving a column in Clean archives the matching attribute, which you can restore.

• Removing a lead from a Clean list removes only that list entry in Attio
• Nothing in Attio is read back into Clean
• Deals, notes, tasks, and custom objects are outside the sync

Where Clean's leads come from

The records Clean pushes into Attio start from real-world evidence of what companies actually do: government filings, trade and shipping records, fleet and safety records, company sites, and trade press, together with Clean's own datasets and licensed company data. Clean names the right people at each company, and Attio receives them ready to work.

How to connect Attio to Clean

One member connects Attio for the whole workspace. Clean shows what it pushes and what it never does before you pick the Attio workspace.

• Find Attio under CRM in Integrations. Open Integrations in your Clean workspace settings and choose Connect on the Attio row. The connection is shared by the whole workspace.
• Choose the Attio workspace and approve access. Choose Connect with Attio, pick the Attio workspace on the next screen, and approve the access Clean asks for.
• Watch the first sync fill Attio. Clean creates people, companies, lists, and attributes for what you already saved, then pushes new leads as you save them. The connection page shows the counts and the last sync time.
